It’s been five years, but we are very happy to announce a new Minnesota Randonneur jersey, vest and jacket design for 2015. We have had a lot of requests for jerseys from new randonneurs and those that haven’t had the opportunity to proudly wear a Minnesota Randonneur brand jersey, vest or jacket. This also coincides nicely for Paris-Brest-Paris randonneurs so the rest of the world will know where you are from.
Design
Here are design samples of the new Minnesota Randonneur jersey, jacket and vest design.
Our focus for the new jersey design was:
- Visibility – bright colors, especially on the top part of the jersey. The green is fairly bright, perhaps a little brighter than shown here (depending on your screen)
- Carry over some elements from our previous version – the crazy loon and fade in color
- Emphasize the Minnesota lakes and forests theme
- Offer the jersey design in several styles, sizes and fabrics to let our members pick their favorite format
- Keep the overall style simple
- Recognize our organizational connections with TCBC and RUSA

Our vendor, Voler, is offering a wide variety of jersey, vest and jacket styles, sizes and fabrics so you have lots of choices.

To ensure the jersey/vest/jacket you order will fit the right way we recommend you try on some Voler jerseys before you order.

Pricing
For most jersey and vests/jackets the cost is in the $75-90 range. Thermal vests and jackets are $20-30 more. If we collectively order more than 24 pieces, everyone will get a credit of about $6 on each item. If we can get to the 50 piece level, another $10-15 will be credited on all styles except the thermal vests and jackets ($3-4 credit). So order a couple extras in different styles to round out your jersey repertoire and help the rest of us save a few $ !
Ordering
This is really easy. You order your own jersey/vest/jacket(s) online through the Voler site, using the Minnesota Randonneur link below. You pick the styles, sizes and fabrics and pay for your order all in one stop. All our jersey(s) will be delivered directly to you when the batch is completed in early May. Here are some hints for getting around the site:
- On the first page you have to scroll down to see the long sleeve jerseys and jackets
- Look at several products, check the Full Details and Select buttons to see more information on the types of fabrics, stitching, fit and sizing available for that selection. You can see the current pricing for each selection once you select a product. Note that the price will go down if we meet volume order thresholds.
- There is a Sizing Info link available next to the Size drop down box – check this carefully before selecting your size. We strongly recommend you visit one of the Sizing Sessions to verify that you are ordering the right size for your body. Keep in mind if you are ordering a vest or jacket that you will likely have another layer or two already on – going up a size may be a good idea. There are no refunds for jerseys that don’t fit.
Timeline
All orders must be in by March 16th
Volume discounts will be calculated based on the order size at that point. Discounts will be credited back to each purchaser on to their credit cards.
Delivery
All orders will ship on May 8th directly to you. There is a shipping cost with options for UPS (faster and more expensive) or USPS (slower but cheaper) which you can select when you place your order. Multiple jerseys in the same order are much less expensive to ship as most of the cost of shipping is for the box, the jerseys are very light so order lots and/or team up with your buddies to save some shipping costs.
