Jim Joy – Ultra Randonneur

Congratulations to Jim Joy, who has just completed the qualifications to be recognized as a RUSA Ultra Randonneur. This is a tremendous accomplishment, requiring the completion of 10 Super Randonneur series over several years. Jim has collected at least one Super Randonneur series in eight of the past 10 years.

More on PBP

A couple more thoughts about PBP.

Drugs!! Not the kind Lance is accused of using, but over the counter stuff you might want to have along on PBP. Some sort of anti-inflammatory, be it Tylenol, Aleve, or what you like. This is going to probably be longer and harder then any other brevet you’ve done. You are going to get aches and pains, you’ll have to ride thought it and continue.

Welcome!

Welcome to the new Minnesota Randonneurs web site! Please take a few minutes to look around the site and familiarize yourself with the information available and the opportunities to join our events.

You can register for any Minnesota Randonneur brevet by reviewing the brevet schedule. This is the best way to sign up for rides. Pre-registering helps us to prepare your brevet card and other paper work so your registration process on the day of the ride is simple.
Also on the brevet schedules is information on the rides, including:
- Cue sheets (be sure to check this for last minute updates)
- Elevation profiles
- Garmin Connect route maps/profiles
- Rides descriptions and preparation
- Directions to ride starts
Check this website out after a brevet for ride stats, reports and photos. Iif you would like to submit a ride report (or any other other item of interest), please send it to
Another area to take a look at is the link to the Minnesota Permanents site where you will find a growing number of permanents and populaires available for you to ride on your own schedule.
Enjoy the site, please let us know if you have any suggestions on how we can make it better. You can reach us at
