Apple Valley Brevets:
The start/finish is at the AmericInn hotel in Apple Valley. Rooms are available, the rate is $89 with AARP or AAA.
There are several retail stores within easy walking distance from the hotel, including a Super Target, Ace Hardware, Best Buy, Cub and Rainbow (groceries), Valley Bike and Ski, etc. as well as a number of restaurants and fast food outlets.
If you are flying in:
Apple Valley is about 15 minutes from the Minneapolis/St Paul airport. Riders in the past have shipped their bike to the hotel, or to Valley Bike and Ski, two blocks away. Contact information for both of these businesses is shown below.

Coming from the South on US-52
North on US-52 to CR-42 in Rosemount
Left – west on CR-42 about eight miles to the traffic light at Garrett Ave, just before Cedar Ave
Right on Garrett Ave
Left at stop sign onto Glazier Ave
Left into the AmericInn/Old Chicago parking lot, at the corner where Garrett Ave turns right.
From the South on I-35
North on I-35
At the I-35E/35W split in Burnsville take I-35E and exit to CR-42
East on CR-42 to Garrett Ave, the first traffic light past Cedar Ave/SH-23
Left on Garrett Ave
Left at stop sign onto Glazier Ave
Left into the AmericInn/Old Chicago parking lot, at the corner where Garrett Ave turns right.
From the North – from Minneapolis
Cedar Ave/SH 77/SH-23 south to Apple Valley, from Minneapolis
Left at traffic light at 147th St
Immediate right on to Glazier Ave
Right into AmericInn/Old Chicago parking lot, at the corner where Glazier Ave turns left/east
From the North – from St. Paul
South on I-35E
Exit south on Cedar Ave/SH-77
Left at traffic light at 147th St
