Apple Valley 200k Brevet – Sept 24

Congratulations to the 24 riders who started and completed the Apple Valley 200k on Saturday. The weather was a little foggy and damp early on, but the skies cleared and a pleasant tailwind nudged the riders home from Zumbrota.

Congratulations to Melodie Pidgeon on the completion of her first brevet.

Congratulations to Doug Carlson on the completion of his Super Randonneur qualification. We now have 25 Minnesota Super Randonneurs this year, and an amazing 34 SR Series have been completed in all!

Michele Brougher and Rob Welsh completed their third Super Randonneur series of the year. This is pretty cool, but Mark Olsen quietly completed his fourth SR series with the same ride – absolutely cool!

Also with this brevet, Rob is now the fourth Minnesota randonneur to qualify for the Ultra Randonneur award this year for completing 10 Super Randonneur series. Jim Joy, Martin Fahje and Mark Olsen also qualified this year, the first time any Minnesota Randonneurs have ever reached his level.
